National Postal Strikes
22/10/2009
Mail deliveries are being completely disrupted across Britain as up to 120,000 members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) walk out over pay, conditions and modernisation.
Some 42,000 mail centre staff and drivers began strike action at 4am today and 78,000 delivery and collection staff will walk out on Friday, the CWU said.
Priority Express same day, overnight & international courier services are completely independent and remain unaffected by the strike action.
We are experiencing high demand for our services however, and would respectfully ask all customers to book collections as early as possible in the day to enable us to continue to provide a first class collection & delivery service for all of our clients.
